Batumi Georgia

Batumi

Batumi is a wonderful city with wonderful things to see and do near by. You can enjoy the sun setting over the Black Sea with evening leaving you gasping at the spectacular colors lighting up the sky as you say goodnight to the sun.

Batumi has a 7km board walk Boulevard taking you along the coast. Making your way along the boardwalk you can enjoy a nice stroll or rent a bicycle and enjoy your ride. There are many places to stop off for a rest and enjoy some Georgian food. Sometimes you are lucky to see dolphins swimming just 30meters away. Continuing your walk the Boulevard you will see some nice buildings as well as the alphabet tower, Batumi lighthouse and the Ali & Nino statue. At 7pm they put the statue is turned on allowing the statue to merge for a short moment to embrace each other.

Home to the beautiful Mtirala National Park where you can take hikes in the forest and enjoy picnics next to the waterfalls. You can swim in the fresh mountain water to cool down before continuing your walk.

The Batumi botanical garden is a short bus ride from the city. The gardens are more raw making the walk feel like a hike through a forest. Surrounded by beautiful tall trees, gorgeous flowers from all over the globe and spectacular lookout points where you can see the Black sea stretch over the horizon. Be sure to check out the Tree bridge.

The city has a relaxed feel to it and we enjoyed our stay there. This is a wonderful place to relax and spend some time. We met some wonderful and friendly people and will cherish our time spent their.
